GlobalPoint Air
GlobalPoint Travel has exceptional expertise in international travel including broad air carrier agreements and affiliate offices worldwide through the GlobalStar agency network. GlobalPoint Travel’s in-house International Division serves as an internal discount airfare wholesaler for our clients as well as the public at large. Our unique air agreements distinguish us from our competitors by allowing us to offer below-published rates in economy, business, and first class. Our International Department has proprietary airfare discount programs/contracts currently covering Europe, Scandinavia, South Pacific, and Asia. In addition, our International Department has strong relationships with a select group of reputable, outside consolidators for itineraries we cannot handle internally. For our corporate accounts, consolidator fares provide savings that are typically 40-60% below published rates and there are no additional fees.
In addition to discount airfares, our International Department is also charged with the responsibility for ensuring that appropriate quality control standards are met for all international reservations. Our International Rate Desk, staffed by British Airways trained personnel, reviews every international record to audit fares offered, suggest less expensive carriers or routings, and ensure that passenger documentation is in order and that the record is otherwise complete. In conjunction with our automated QC and Central Ticketing process, the International Rate Desk provides a triple check for what are perhaps the most critical records of all.
Apart from our excellent consolidator and GlobalStar programs, we also provide the following to international travelers:
- ViewTrip travel advisories outlining the latest up-to-date health and safety reports
- 24 hour toll free numbers from over 60 countries worldwide in case of emergency or simply a change in travel plans
- World Passports and Visas providing advice and expedited processing of visas and passports for U.S. citizens
- Traveler tracking reports listing the whereabouts of all on-the-road travelers
- Inexpensive cell phone rental
- Satellite phone rental for areas without existing or reliable cell phone service (including the ocean) at rates below other retail and web providers.
